Cheetah Chase Fun Run Information
The 5th annual Cheetah Chase is TOMORROW!
It looks like it is going to be an absolutely gorgeous day to get outside!
Packet pick-up will be tonight from 4:15-6:15 and tomorrow morning from 8:00-8:50.

Routes are the same as in the past. We went out a few days ago and there are some sidewalks that are a bit uneven. Please take caution, particularly as we head of of the school bus lane to East Pass. Course maps for both the 5k and 1 mile are linked below:
SATURDAY TIMELINE:
8:00-8:50 Packet Pick-up and Registration
Packet Pick-up will be located inside the school. Race day registration will be available although we have VERY few extra shirts this year, so you may not be guaranteed a shirt.
Parking is also very limited on race day. The front parking lot will be closed off for the safety of our participants; however the back staff parking lot will be available. We are encouraging families who live close to Chavez to walk, ride bikes, or carpool with others.

8:50 5k participants will gather in the bus lane to start
9:00 5k Fun Run will start
Please be aware that we will have wave starts for both the 5k and 1-mile participants. Because all participants must remain on the sidewalks for the duration of the course, we are asking that those who plan on walking or who have strollers line up at the back. Remember that this is a fun run and the races will NOT be timed.
9:05 One-mile participants will gather in the bus lane to start
9:10 One-mile run/walk will start
Again, for the safety of our participants everyone will remain on the sidewalks along the entire of length of this route. If you plan on walking or have strollers, we ask that you kindly line up toward the back of the group. We will be starting in waves.
10:00-11:00 Race Celebrations
Once you are done with the race, we encourage you to enjoy your post-race snacks and stay to enjoy music and mingle with other families. There will be water and fruit provided at the finish line for all participants. Festivities are expected to wrap up between 10:30-11:00.
While the forecast is looking pretty shiny, it is Wisconsin and the weather can change on a dime. We run rain or shine! Of course safety is the number one priority of our participants. In the case of severe weather (including thunder and lightning), the run will be cancelled. We will be sure to call the race by 7:45 and will send an email, post here it on our website and on the Chavez Facebook Page.

finish at school. They will be well marked again with green and blue route
arrows as well as plenty of signage along the way. We’re hoping for great weather
